Chaos Suppressing in a Three-Buses Power System Using an Adaptive Synergetic Control Method

The stability of the power system is a critical issue for reliable and safe operation network. Where maintaining voltage levels constant or within prescribed permissible limit robustness against disturbances, while working near its margin due to growth consumption, nowadays are great challenges. Chaotic oscillation in network may lead bus collapse, angle divergence possibly both phenomena simultaneously. These cases directly affect service quality system. paper presents problem chaos suppressing three-bus six-dimensional model. dynamics investigated through examining nonlinear system’s behavior analysis tools, such as spectral density, bicoherence, Poincaré map Lyapunov exponents. chaotic suppressed Lyapunov-based adaptive algorithm with synergetic control theory. A evolution constraint used achieving better transient responses fast dynamics. energy storage device STATCOM compensator employed loop restore synchronous maintain rated voltage, respectively. Numerical simulations conducted verify effectiveness proposed algorithm. stabilization recovery normal state characterized by smooth free-of-chattering controller output.
